In today’s scripture, we see Sarah’s glowing testimony of God’s ultimate faithfulness. After all natural hope was gone—when Abraham was old and Sarah had long passed menopause—God fulfilled His word and made them bear a son, Isaac. Looking back at Genesis 12:2–3, God gave Abraham a threefold promise: to make him a great nation, to bless him, and to make his name great. By Genesis 13:2 and 14, God had already fulfilled the promises to bless him and make his name great after his victories. However, the first promise—to make him a great nation—seemed to lag behind, yet God fulfilled it at a time when human history had never recorded a woman giving birth past menopause. When we reflect on how God gave Abraham a son in his old age, Matthew 19:26 comes to mind: with God, all things are possible. Remarkably, God did not demand perfect human performance or flawless waiting; Abraham struggled to wait, agreeing to have Ishmael through Hagar (Genesis 16). Yet God looked beyond that human mistake and still fulfilled His original covenant promise at His appointed set time. To apply this reflection to our daily lives, we must look beyond human timeframes or how long we have walked with God without seeing a specific answer. Recognize that it is never too late for God to perform whatever He has promised in your life. No matter how delayed a promise may feel, hold on with hope, because God’s set time will surely arrive and fill your mouth with laughter. The same faithful God who turned Sarah’s biological impossibility into holy laughter is working behind the scenes on my behalf. My period of waiting will culminate in a breathtaking testimony that will amaze many. I step into my season of divine fulfillment, overflow, and joy all through this Wednesday, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen! A Morning Prayer for Divine Fulfillment and Joyful Laughter: Heavenly Father, the God of divine timing and impossible possibilities, I bow before Your presence this Wednesday morning. Thank You for the reassuring testimony of Sarah in Genesis 21:7, which proves that You never forget Your covenant promises. Lord, forgive me for every moment of impatience, doubt, or trying to achieve Your promises through human effort. Look beyond my past shortcomings and bring Your glorious word to pass in my life at Your designated set time. Turn every long-standing shame, barrenness, or delay into an occasion for divine laughter and celebration. Strengthen my heart to trust You completely until my miracle manifests.
