This doesn’t mean our parents sinned during our conception—it means we inherited a fallen nature from Adam. Before salvation, sin was not just something we did; it was what we were.
Our thoughts, desires, decisions, and lifestyle flowed from that nature. This natural separation created a vast spiritual distance between man and God—one we could never cross by our own efforts.
3. We Worshipped Idols and Followed Forbidden Lifestyles
Everywhere the gospel had not reached, people turned to idols, charms, spirits, ancestors, and practices God condemned. Some worshipped creation instead of the Creator. Others lived in immorality, drunkenness, violence, or occult practices—completely opposite to God’s holiness.

You may not feel it, but the moment you accepted Christ, you were moved from “far off” to “near.”
Your new position is not based on your performance—it is based on Christ’s sacrifice.
Your walk with God begins when you accept that nearness and grow in it.
Practical Application: Do Not Return to the Lifestyle You Left
If we truly believe we were drawn near by the blood, then our lives must reflect that nearness. Returning to sinful habits is like walking back into the prison Christ already opened.
Walking with God requires:
