If you are a Christian and you fear a fellow human being, today’s morning reflection is for you. In this passage, we see how David overcame all his battles against fellow humans because he acknowledged the presence of God with him at all times. David, the greatest warrior and king of Israel, was not afraid of humans because he knew the Lord was on his side. From the supporting passage in Psalm 118:7–12, we discover that David was always victorious because he trusted in God, calling upon the name of the Lord to destroy his enemies. While David called upon Yahweh or Jehovah back then, today Acts 4:12 reveals the name of Jesus as the Lord that we Christians must call upon to be saved. However, the problem most of us Christians have is that multiple times we have called upon the name of Jesus and still stay defeated in all ramifications, concluding that the name does not work. Consider this personal experience: back when I did not fully submit to Christ, I used to have nightmares of something pressing me, and no matter how hard I tried to scream “Jesus” in the trance, the oppression continued. But today, after surrendering completely, that experience rarely happens, and whenever I call Jesus, deliverance is instant! The reason the name was not working before was due to a lack of complete submission and living contrary to Christ. Going back to verses 14–15, David experienced salvation and power because he lived in alignment with God. To apply this Bible verse to your life, refrain from things you know God does not approve of, submit fully to Christ, and start loving Him wholeheartedly. When you walk in alignment with Him, you will watch the name of Jesus work powerfully for you in every situation! Today’s Confession: I boldly declare that the Lord is on my side, so I will not fear what any human being can do to me! I submit my life, thoughts, and actions completely to the lordship of Jesus Christ. I turn away from every sin and compromise that hinders the power of God in my life. The name of Jesus is my strong tower, my shield, and my weapon of victory. Oppression, fear, and enemy attacks have no place in my life today, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen! A Morning Prayer for Divine Protection and Unshakable Courage: Heavenly Father, the Mighty Warrior and my Ever-Present Help, I enter Your presence this Monday morning with a heart full of trust. Thank You for Your promise in Psalm 118:6 that because You are on my side, I have no reason to fear the plans, threats, or actions of men. Lord, search my heart and forgive me for any area of my life where I have compromised or failed to submit fully to You. Wash me clean and give me the grace to refrain from anything that displeases You. As I yield my heart to Jesus Christ today, let the authority in His holy name deliver me from every spiritual oppression and grant me total victory over every obstacle. Walk beside me today and let Your glory shine through my life. In the invincible name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.Keep your spiritual fire burning at absolute capacity throughout this week!
