Daily Reflection: Disarming Weariness and Understanding the Due Season
Today’s Bible verse warns us not to be weary in doing good; that is to say, we should not desist from doing good because in due season we shall reap. When you look at this passage in the Spirit, you quickly realize two profound spiritual realities:
- The results for doing good will not come immediately, but in due season.
- We will have so many situations where people pay us back evil for the good we do, trying our endurance to see if we faint not.
Armed with this divine wisdom and understanding, you will immediately comprehend why so many people have stopped doing good. They stop because they feel that since they started, they have not seen a good reward and that it has simply been way too long. Others stop because every time they step out in kindness, people pay them back with evil.
To successfully apply Galatians 6:9 to our lives, we must master two foundational rules:
First, we must not think about how long we have been doing good without getting a visible reward. We must remember that God operates on a heavenly clock where a thousand years is like one day in His eyes, and one day is like a thousand years (2 Peter 3:8). His timing is perfect, and His record-keeping is flawless.
Second, we must never pay back evil with evil. Instead, we must repay evil with blessing, because God has called us to inherit a blessing (1 Peter 3:9). When we bless those who mistreat us, we protect our spiritual harvest from being contaminated by bitterness.

Daily Prayer: Grace to Endure and Reap Your Harvest
Today’s Confession: I boldly declare that I will not grow weary of doing good! I refuse to let the delay of my reward or the bad attitudes of others stop my seed-sowing.
