Bible verse of the day for Thursday june 18 2026
The Bible verse of the day for Thursday june 18 2026 is Matthew 4:24. Let us look at what the scripture says according to the King James Version (KJV):
“And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.” โ Matthew 4:24
What is the meaning of Mathew 4:24
The meaning of Mathew 4:24 is centered on Jesus Christ demonstrating the raw, original creation power of God through supernatural miracles. In this powerful passage of scripture, we see Jesus Christ operating at the height of His earthly ministry, healing everyone who was brought to Him, regardless of how severe, complicated, or deeply rooted their sicknesses, mental afflictions, or spiritual diseases were.
To fully grasp what is happening here, we must look at the environment of Syria and Judea at that time. People were desperate. They were carrying heavy burdens of pain, demonic oppression, paralysis (palsy), and mental breakdowns (lunacy). When the bible mentions “torments,” it is talking about agonizing pain that medical science of that day could not touch. The meaning of this verse is to show us that Jesus did not just come to preach words; He came with the tangible power of the Godhead to break the legal hold of infirmity over human lives. Every miracle performed in this text was a practical demonstration that the kingdom of heaven had arrived to tear down the works of darkness.
Fresh Holy Spirit Revelation: The Power of “All”
When we meditate deeply on Matthew 4:24, the main revelation comes from where the scripture reveals that Jesus healed “all” who were brought to him. It did not say He healed some and left others behind. It did not say He selected a few special people and told the rest to go away. This word “all” holds a profound spiritual truth that cuts through the religious traditions of men.
1. God Does Not Face Restraints of Human Demographics
This goes to say that Jesus Christ did not consider anyone’s stature, social background, ethnicity, wealth, or level of religiosity before showing them mercy. In the days of Jesus, society was deeply divided. The religious leaders looked down on the poor and the broken, treating sickness as an automatic sign of personal sin or divine rejection. But Jesus shattered that religious bias. His main concern was simply to restore everyone back to their normal health. If you could find your way to Him, or if someone had love enough to bring you to His feet, your background ceased to matter. The healing virtue was available for all.
2. Sickness Was Never God’s Original Blueprint
Now, one thing that always comes into my mind whenever I ponder on the miracles of Jesus is the fact that it was never the intention of God for humans to face any kind of infirmities in life. God is a good Father. When He created the world in Genesis, He looked at everything and declared it “very good.” There was no cancer, no paralysis, no mental madness, and no demonic oppression in the Garden of Eden.
All these spiritual and physical torments came into the world as a direct result of the deceit of the devil and the physical submission of our first parents, Adam and Eve, to the voice of the serpent. Through their disobedience, sin entered the world, and sickness followed as a terrible byproduct of the curse. Sickness is an intruder; it is a violation of Godโs original design for your body and mind.
3. Jesus is the Restoration of the Garden
Therefore, when Jesus walked through Syria healing “all sick people,” He was actually doing the work of restoration. He was resetting human bodies back to the original layout of creation. Todayโs passage shows that if we approach Jesus Christ with absolute faith, He will restore our health and every other life’s challenges just as He did to everyone who was brought to Him here. He has not changed. The same virtue that wiped out the palsy, cast out the devils, and cured the lunatics in Syria is active right now to fix whatever is broken in your life.
How can I apply Mathew 4:24 to my life today?
Applying Matthew 4:24 to your daily life requires you to move from reading the Bible as a historical storybook to treating it as a living, breathing reality. If Jesus healed them completely in Syria, He can heal you completely where you are sitting right now. Here is how you can practically apply this word today:
- Stop Categorizing Your Problems: We often make the mistake of thinking some problems are “small” and others are “too big” for God. Matthew 4:24 lists everything from physical palsy to spiritual demonic possession. To Jesus, there is no difference in difficulty. Stop looking at your challenge as an impossible mountain. Bring it to Jesus as a done deal.
- Strip Away Religious Guilt: The devil loves to tell you that you are not holy enough, rich enough, or important enough for God to answer your prayers. Remember the revelation: Jesus healed everyone without checking their social status or religious resume. Approach the throne of grace boldly based on His mercy, not your perfection.
- Become a Vehicle of Intercession: Notice that the scripture says, “and they brought unto him all sick people.” Many of those sick, paralyzed, and mentally distressed individuals could not walk to Jesus on their own. Someone had to carry them. You must apply this by standing in the gap for your family members, friends, and neighbors who are overwhelmed by silent battles. Bring them to Jesus through targeted, fasting-focused intercession.
3 Ways to Live Out Mathew 4:24 in Your Current Season
1. Reject the Permanent Label of Infirmity
Do not settle for what the enemy has planted in your body or mind. If you are experiencing physical pain, mental anxiety, or spiritual oppression, do not call it “my sickness.” It belongs to the devil, not you. Stand on the authority of Matthew 4:24 and demand a total restoration of your health. Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, not a storage room for divers diseases and torments.
2. Align Your Mind with Creative Power
Fix your mind on the truth that Jesus is a Creator, not a repairer. If a doctor has told you that an organ is completely dead or that a mental condition is permanent, remember that Jesus operates on the level of Genesis creation power. Speak words of life over your health every single morning. Let your thoughts be saturated with the original layout of God’s perfection rather than the negative reports of the world.
3. Walk in Absolute Spiritual Purity
Since we know that sickness entered the world through the door of disobedience, we must close every legal loophole by walking in holiness, purity, and strict obedience to the Word of God. Do not give the devil a foothold in your life through compromised living. When you walk in alignment with God, you position yourself under the direct, unhindered flow of His divine protection and healing virtue.
Daily Meditation and Prayer
Today’s Confession:
I boldly declare that my body, soul, and spirit are under the direct lordship of Jesus Christ. I reject every form of sickness, torment, paralysis, and mental anxiety. Sickness has no legal right to dwell in my life because Jesus took my infirmities upon Himself. I walk in total restoration, divine health, and supernatural wholeness today. My background cannot limit my blessing, and my past cannot block my healing. The creative power of God is working in me right now, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen!
A Morning Prayer for Divine Restoration:
Heavenly Father, the God of all flesh and the Creator of the ends of the earth, I bow before Your holy presence this morning. I thank You for the fresh revelation of Your word in Matthew 4:24. Thank You for reminding me that it was never Your original intention for me to suffer under the heavy weight of sickness, pain, or spiritual torments.
Lord Jesus, I bring every area of my life that is broken, sick, or challenged before Your feet today. I ask that Your supernatural healing virtue flows through my body, my mind, and my family right now. Cast out every trace of demonic oppression, break the chains of silent battles, and let every dead or malfunctioning organ receive fresh creative life. Grant me the grace to walk in absolute purity and unwavering faith. Thank You for restoring me back to perfect health and turning my secret tears into a public testimony. In Jesus’ glorious and matchless name, I pray. Amen.
